Put BitSpinVault on your home screen

About 20 seconds, and there is nothing to download. Your browser does it, so there is no app store to sign in to and it takes up almost no space.

Safari on iPhone or iPad

Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow coming out of the top. It is at the bottom of the screen on iPhone, top right on iPad.
Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add in the top right.

The BitSpinVault icon is on your home screen. Open it from there and it fills the whole screen, with no browser bars in the way.

Using Chrome, Firefox or Edge on your iPhone?

Only Safari can add an app to the home screen on iPhone and iPad. Copy the bitspinvault.com address, paste it into Safari, then follow the three steps above.

Chrome, Firefox or Edge on Android

Tap the menu button in the top right — the three dots (⋮).
Tap Install app. Some versions call it Add to Home screen instead.
Tap Install to confirm.

If a bar slides up from the bottom of the screen offering to install, tapping that does exactly the same thing.

Samsung Internet on Android

Tap the menu button in the bottom right — the three lines (☰).
Tap Add page to.
Choose Home screen, then tap Add.

Chrome or Edge on a computer

Look at the right-hand end of the address bar for the install icon: a small screen with a downward arrow.
Click it, then click Install.
Nothing there? In Chrome, open the menu (⋮) and look for the entry starting with Install. In Edge, open the menu (⋯), choose Apps, then Install this site as an app.

BitSpinVault opens in its own window and sits alongside your other apps.

Careful with Save as app

The Save as app option in the menu is a different thing: it makes a plain shortcut and names it after the page, so you end up with the wrong name. The install icon in the address bar gives you the real app.

Safari on a Mac

Open bitspinvault.com in Safari. You will need Safari 17 or newer.
In the menu bar at the top, choose File, then Add to Dock.
Check the name, then click Add.

BitSpinVault is now in your Dock and opens in its own window.

On Firefox?

Firefox on Windows, Mac and Linux cannot add apps yet, so there is no menu item to look for. Open bitspinvault.com in Chrome or Edge instead and use the steps above it.
